General & Operational Objectives of VOCA extended

 

Project's General Objectives:

Project will support participants of VOCA in further training activities for developing a mentor skills and profession for mentoring the disabled people in integration of the individual to working environment and new job by the use of knowledge, skills and qualifications facilitates his/her personal development via VOCA courses both existing and in the new field and localized in new regions. VOCA will also support improvements in quality and innovation in VET systems targeting the mentoring of disabled people and further improve the practices present in this field.

 

 

The methodology used within VOCA was designed for learners to reach to end target group having special needs for personal development. To support with a tool, which meets the specific learning environments and didactic needs of inexperienced disabled learners, is crucial. Tools are all based on ICT environment.

Operational objectives:

The tool is a learning platform for potential mentors, and also an open platform for organisations providing learning opportunities, as well as other social partners and other relevant bodies throughout Europe for accepting their input in the context of mentorship. The project also aims and performs the improvement of the transparency while recognizing the qualifications acquired through the mentor training which is an informal learning. Finally, tool realizes and supports the development of innovative ICT-based e-learning content, VET services, pedagogues for mentors and practical guiding for mentors for their lifelong learning.

European priorities:

This project aims at adopting and further developing a model for the training of Mentors which is contained in the third priority which project fully conforms (trainers and tutors = mentors). Courses are build to develop the necessary skills and competence to lead the mentor to the target, which is mentoring disabled people in both finding and sustaining his/her employment.
